Unknown vakhtangov’s Nikolai Kruglov
Abstract
The article is dedicated to the architect Nikolai Kruglov, the project’s author for building the theatre technical school in Moscow, where the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute is located. The author focuses on the tragic fate of the talented artist, who was accused of counterrevolutionary activities and sentenced to imprisonment in 1937 and rehabilitated only in 1957. According to the author, the name of the outstanding architect has yet to be returned to the pages of scientific works and encyclopedias.
