Abstract

The author introduces the reader to the history of the formation of the Department of Musical Expression of the Actor (2003) at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute and emphasizes the critical role of music in the training andeducation of a modern artist and director. The article tells about the program Learning to be Artists, a series of master classes, Music of the Theater. The Theater of music, etc. The publisher’s attention is also focused on the specialization Artist of the Musical Theater, the first recruitment for which was carried out by the Institute in 2008.
